Databasin was co-created at Washington University School of Medicine's Institute for Informatics, Data Science & Biostatistics (I2DB) — not to pitch investors, but because Epic data pipelines were at capacity and research operations needed a better foundation. No commercial solution existed at AMC scale. So we built one. It worked in production. Then it became available to everyone.
